Location

The Capitol Hill Arts Workshop is located at 545 7th Street, S.E. Washington DC, 20003 (the corner of 7th and G Streets, SE).

Metro

We are two blocks south of the Eastern Market metro plaza, which is on the orange and blue lines. After exiting the metro stop, walk down 7th Street (there’s a CVS on the corner) two blocks, away from Pennsylvania Ave. The Arts Workshop is located at the corners of 7th and G Streets, SE, entrance on 7th Street.

Car

The Arts Workshop is located in a residential area. Street parking is available but sometimes limited. Please note that DC has four quadrants, and there are four possible corners of 7th and G Streets—we are located in SouthEast.

From I-395 (Virginia)

• From VA, take I-395 north to the Navy Yard/6th St, SE exit (the next exit after the South Capitol St exit)
• Please note: Do not exit the highway and take the I-395 north tunnel/US Senate exit. Just stay on the highway until you see the Navy Yard/6th St, SE exit.
• At the bottom of the ramp, take a left onto 6th St, SE.
• Take a right onto G Street (2nd intersection)
• The Arts Workshop is located on the corners of 7th and G Streets; the entrance is on 7th Street.

From Northwest DC

• Get on east-bound Massachusetts Avenue
• At the intersection of Massachusetts Ave and 9th Street NW (Convention Center), turn right onto 9th Street.
• At Constitution Ave, 9th street becomes a tunnel. Enter the tunnel, and get in the left lane, following signs for 395-N, and 295. The left lane will bear left, and you will come out on the freeway
• Exit at Navy Yard/6th Street SE (the next exit after South Capitol Street exit)
• At the bottom of the ramp, take a left onto 6th St, SE.
• Take a right onto G Street (2nd intersection)
• The Arts Workshop is located on the corners of 7th and G Streets; the entrance is on 7th Street.

From the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (295)

• As you near the end of the B/W Parkway, DO NOT follow the signs to Washington/New York Avenue. Bear left, and follow the sign to Virginia
• Take the East Capitol Street exit (just past Benning Road), and the stadium will be in front of you.
• Stay with the traffic (do not follow signs for East Capitol Street), and you will be on C Street NE (the street will become N. Carolina Avenue after a block). The road forks right before 14th Street; stay to the right, so that you are on C Street.
• Turn left at 8th Street NE.
• Continue on 8th Street (cross East Capitol Street, Independence Avenue, and Pennsylvania Ave)
• Turn right on G Street SE, and we are on the corner of 7th and G Streets SE; the entrance is on 7th Street.
