Mills Brown Presents, Magnolia

In Magnolia, Mills Brown creates collages that conjure the world of fairytales. Inspired by favorite stories from childhood, magic realism and Southern gothic, the pieces in this series work together to illustrate a disjointed and dream-like narrative. Decorated with organic matter and built in many layers, the collages on display become ornamental windows into an imaginary world. Mills lives and works in DC. Magnolia is her first solo exhibition.
