The Artists’ Circle is a opportunity for artists to build community through sharing work, resources and connecting socially. Whether a seasoned professional, or someone just beginning to explore artistic interests, it’s good to get outside of your bubble and interact with like-minded people in a supportive environment.
The idea is to allow the artists direct how the group grows. At our first meeting, we discussed doing readings and displaying work. Some were people are interested in getting feedback on works-in-progress. Others were interested in having speakers to come in and give talks about various aspects of being an artists. The goal is to be able to do these things to help us grow individually and to work collectively in helping to further build upon the work CHAW does in the community.
