WINTER/SPRING 2008
The Winter/Spring 2008 session begins January 14, 2008 and runs through Saturday, May 31, 2008. The Make-up Week is Monday, June 2nd through Saturday, June 7th.
SUMMER 2008
Summer lessons begin June15th and run through August 9th.
Please Note: Students register for a full semester of lessons, or the balance of the current semester. If a lesson must be canceled during the session due to teacher illness or conflict, a make-up session will be offered at a time arranged by the teacher and student. Private music students must give 24-hour notice to be entitled to a make-up lesson. Students who do not give 24-hour notice will be charged for the missed lesson.
PRIVATE MUSIC POLICIES
Whether you are a new student or a returning student, it is important that you read the following information. We have some new policies and procedures, which you will be responsible for understanding and following.
Students are required to sign in at the front desk before every lesson.
Cancellations and Make-Up Lessons
Students are required to give 24-hour notice of cancelled lessons by calling the Workshop office, not your instructor, at (202) 547-6839; failure to do so will result in the student being charged for the lesson.
Students who miss more than 3 lessons within a semester will forfeit their lesson time and the right to make-up lessons.
There will be a maximum of two make-up lessons given within a semester; lessons that were not made-up will not carry over to the next semester.
Continuing Lessons
A staff member will contact students (or their parents) one month prior to the end of each semester via email and letter to discover whether the student will continue with lessons in the next semester. Students (or their parents) who do not respond in writing by the deadline listed in the email and letter will automatically forfeit their lesson time in the following semester.
Withdrawal & Refunds
Students who withdraw from private music lessons for any reason must do so in writing, via postal mail or email (jenny@chaw.org). Verbal withdrawals will not be accepted.

100% tuition refund
Postmarked prior to the second scheduled lesson

Registration & Billing Information
There is a $10 registration fee for new students.
Students sign up for a semester of lessons, or the balance of the current semester; the number of lessons will vary, according to the scheduled lesson day. The lessons are priced as follows:
$30 per 30-minute lesson $45 per 45-minute lesson $60 per 1-hour lesson
To begin lessons, a student must have paid for the semester of lessons in full, or have paid a 25% deposit and set up a monthly payment plan to pay in full before the end of the semester.
