Meet your National Novel Writing Month goals with help from some writing games!
Published author Hannah Sternberg leads a series of interactive, self-contained writing exercises designed to defeat writer's block and inspire you to keep writing. Come for as many sessions as you like; there's no homework, and each week has a different theme. Sessions are FREE and open to all levels of writers. The workshops will take place Mondays in November at the SE Branch of the DC Public Library, 7pm-8:30pm; and the first four Tuesdays in November at East City Bookshop, 6:30pm-8:00pm.
Upcycled Abstract: Craft Making Activity - sponsored by CHAW at Crafty Bastards: Arts & Crafts Fair at Union Market in Washington, D.C. Create a fun craft piece out of recycled materials to wear, or to hang on your wall at home! Terrific for all ages and skill levels.

A Light Mix: Wine, Cheese, Dance
A series presented by Light Switch Dance Theatre at CHAW that provides safe and engaging space for artists to present new/revised work. artists are encouraged to present works in progress or a piece from the past in the revision process.
Photographer Ginny Filer works with kids (aged 6 months and up), adults, or the whole family in 15-minute photography sessions: perfect for the fast-approaching holiday card season! Sessions will take place on Friday, October 7 from 9:30am to 12:30pm at CHAW, 545 7th St. SE.
A Light Mix is a series created by Light Switch Dance Theatre will present new work by LSDT Performers, LSDT, and other emerging choreographers. Seasonally paired wine, cheese, and dessert will be served following the performance when the audience members will have the opportunity to connect with presenting artists.

On June 11, the Your DC Digital Museum program will return to the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop. Help us document and preserve the history and culture of your community.
Our expert volunteers will work with you to digitize and describe your personal historic or genealogical artifacts including: photographs, journal pages, correspondence, souvenirs, or anything else that tells your story. All submissions will be added to the DC Digital Museum. Help us build this powerful online resource for students, educators, and scholars!
