Alice Adams- Workshop Performance

Join CHAW for a world premiere event: Alice Adams, a musical in progress composed by Julliard- trained Robert Convery, known for his stunning cantata, “Songs of Children,” based on the writings of the children of the Holocaust and performed at the opening of The U.S. Holocaust Museum in 1983.  

Convery has adapted Booth Tarkington’s novel, Alice Adams, the 1921 Pulitzer Prize Novel. Convery’s adaptation includes 15 characters and 21 original songs. There will be a post-performance feedback/discussion with the composer after the August 11th performance with possible additional sessions at other performances.
