Black Light Yoga @ CHAW! presented by United Social Sports

USS is taking over the one and only CHAW for BLACK LIGHT YOGA!
Most people have tried yoga at least once but we’re sure nothing like this.
This all-levels class will take your yoga experience to the NEXT level.
It’ll be BYOM (bring your own mat) as the lights go out and the black lights turn on!
USS will give you as much glow as your heart desires and we’ll even give you black light body paint so you can look like this…

The Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW) is proud to present its Annual Performance Festival on Saturday, December 10.  As always, this busy day will include performances from all levels of class-takers, from kids to adults, and will also feature work for sale from our advanced ceramics students (perfect for holiday gifts!).  By popular demand, Gingerbread House-Making will also be back (2pm-5pm at St.

ARTIST'S CHOICE! One piece per CHAL artist, in this non- juried show members chose their favorite artwork to hang in Capitol Hill Art Workshops Exhibit. Art will be hung at registration and receiving on May 20 and if there is room for more, another date of May 22 will be open for receiving more work from members. 

Show runs: May 20th through June 3rd, 2017 Closing reception: June 3rd, 5pm-7pm

We’ll have tales of ghosts, witches, and the horrors of waking up for sunrise yoga. Come for the scary stories and the launch party of our new radio show/podcast, The Variety (Half) Hour!

Radio might be your grandparents' media, but this sure isn't your grandparents' Halloween party! Autumnal beverages start at 7PM, live radio theater begins at 8PM, party continues after the show! Costumes are strongly encouraged.

Writer's Block Clinic with Hannah Sternberg

Meet your National Novel Writing Month goals with help from some writing games!

Published author Hannah Sternberg leads a series of interactive, self-contained writing exercises designed to defeat writer's block and inspire you to keep writing. Come for as many sessions as you like; there's no homework, and each week has a different theme. Sessions are FREE and open to all levels of writers. The workshops will take place Mondays in November at the SE Branch of the DC Public Library, 7pm-8:30pm; and the first four Tuesdays in November at East City Bookshop, 6:30pm-8:00pm.
