Virtual Summer Camp

Summers Are still CHAWsome!

CHAW summer camps provide just the right balance of creativity and recreation in a warm and welcoming virtual community! Professional teaching artists and staff lead campers in artful exploration, technique development, and community building with programs and activities that meet a wide range of interests and abilities. CHAW is committed to providing accessible, affordable programming to all students: tuition assistance and payment plans are available to anyone who wants to participate.

Arts Adventures Virtual Camps - Grades K-5

Spark your creative curiosity with CHAW's virtual summer camps! Teaching artists and staff will lead students each day in Village Time followed by a studio arts class and a performing arts class with a new amazing theme each week! General materials needed will be announced before each session.

Week 2: June 29 – July 3: Design & Building
Week 3: July 6 – 10: Environment and Environmentalism -CURRENTLY FULL FOR GRADES 3-5-
Week 4: July 13– 17: Ancient Myths and Folklore
Week 5: July 20 – 24: Outerspace and Physics
Week 6: July 27 – 31: Imagined Travels to Distant Lands

9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (Grades K-2) 
1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Grades 3-5)

Specialty Camps

For the love of music series

Join Teaching Artist, Lydia Ma and a rotating cast of special guests for a fun filled summer series and explore how music is all around us in our daily lives. You don't need a classroom or even an instrument to discover a love of music! Sign up for all four weeks for $300 weekly at $80 a week.

No musical experience required and general supplies will be announced before each session. Click here for more info or to register.

  • June 15 - 18 - Music and Foreign Language Week
    Students will learn rhythm through words, Chinese vocabulary through Chinese songs, classic Italian IPA pronunciation, and global culture through the common language of music.

  • June 22 - 25 - Music and Art Week
    Students will build instruments from scratch, create artwork inspired by music and lots more in this hand-on week! 

  • June 29 - July 2 - Music and Science Week
    Have you wondered about the science of sound? What are acoustics and why do musicians talk about them? Learn the answers to these questions and much more during this week of exploration. 

  • July 6 - 9 - Music and PE Week
    Learn principles of music all while moving and grooving. Students who sign up for this week will practice rhythm and percussion while working up a sweat! 

String Fling!-virtual Violin Camp-GradeS k-6

A half day camp for young violin students. Activities include Suzuki method based instruction, including ensembles, creative movement, and music games. 6 months+ experience and instrument required. Students will have a fabulous week of beautiful music!
